Weekly Update #238: Social Media & Patreon Updates

Alright, let’s start today’s blog post with a little social media update: you might have already noticed, but at the top of this website, a little camera icon has now joined the row of square-shaped quick links!

That’s right, we have finally created an Instagram account for Gosatsu! As of right now, it’s pretty barren, but content will be added very soon, especially once we get closer to the release of our extended demo. So, if Instagram is your social media outlet of choice, please follow us over there to keep up-to-date with all our future development progresses and updates!

Weekly Update #237: The Artistic Ace

Alright, and here she is! The last of the four suspects in GENBA no Kizuna‘s murder case!

Once again, if you’d like to learn a little about her name and what kinda thoughts went into her design, you can check out this post over on Patreon. It’s publicly viewable, so you don’t even need to pledge in order to check it out!

There is also this blog post containing a tiny bit of background info about her. And if you’ve missed any of the others, you can check out their profiles pages here: Amber, Terano, Ryuunosuke.

Weekly Update #236: The Beast Tamer

So, after Ryuunosuke and Amber, it’s time to have a look at the third suspect in GENBA no Kizuna‘s murder case!

Once again, if you want to learn at least a little bit more about him, you can check out this posting on Patreon, which contains some information about the meaning behind his name and how his design came to be. Don’t worry! Even if you’re not pledging, you can still take a look as it’s publicly viewable!

There is also this posting from last year, however, where you can read a very short description of all the suspects!

Weekly Update #235: The Paleobotanist

Last week, you could get a look at Ryuunosuke Hazama, the leader of the “Raptor Pack”. This time, I present to you another one of the four suspects in GENBA no Kizuna‘s murder case: the prehistoric plant expert Amber Harding!

If you want to learn a little bit more about her (like the ideas behind her name and design), you can click here to check out a publicly available posting on Patreon, or here for a blog post from last year, in which she was first unveiled as the Warrior Princess Mayana!

Just like with Ryuu, there isn’t really much else I’d like to say about her for now. Rather, I wish for players to get closer to her in the actual game! So with that said, let’s move on to what else is new…

If you’re following us on Twitter, you might have already seen him, but here is the final introduction card for Ryuunosuke Hazama, head of Raptor Pack Productions and one of the four suspects in GENBA no Kizuna‘s murder case!

I’ve shared a few tiny bits and pieces of information about him before, and if you want to learn more about the meaning behind his name, or the inspirations for his design, you can check out this post over on Patreon, which is publicly available (meaning that you don’t need to pledge in order to view it).

Weekly Update #233: Plans For February

After spending the majority of January working on the sprites for our four suspect characters in GENBA no Kizuna, I can finally say that they’re done! Well, Natsu still needs to take care of the coloring, but at least my part is done. That means that I won’t be going back to change/adjust anything beyond this point, as the designs are fully set in stone!

Weekly Update #232: Sprite Progress, Round 3

So, today’s blog post is going to be another quick one. I’m still focused on sprite art, but as I’ve mentioned in last week’s blog post, it’s all about polish now. The base sprites for our four suspects are very close to completion. It’s really just a matter of fixing some more details. If you’re a patron, you can get a few more WIP-previews for Ryuunosuke, Terano and Amber.

Since the sprites aren’t 100% done yet, you also still have the chance to offer some feedback or suggestions. Especially in Terano‘s case, I’d welcome them, as I’m still struggling a bit in finalizing his design/color theme.

Either way, I hope to finally be done with this within next week. Gotta start work on the Valentine’s artwork soon, after all.

I guess that’s really all I can say. Not much else to report, since I’m really just dedicated to finishing these sprites right now. On the flipside, I guess I haven’t made this many WIP-posts (or posts in general) on Patreon within a single month before. So if you’re curious about GENBA‘s development, now’s a good time to check by!

As always, please enjoy the rest of your weekend and, until next Saturday, take care! :3

Weekly Update #231: Even More Sprite Progress!

As mentioned in last week’s blog post, I have continued working on the sprites for our four suspects characters over this past week.
Patrons can actually check out yet another early WIP-preview over here, this time for Shiku Jura, who has been featured in last year’s Jurassic June artwork.

With this, I have drawn all four of them. But that doesn’t mean I’m done just yet! Nope, there is still lots to do!
