A little while ago, I posted a WIP-preview of a new character sprite for GENBA no Kizuna on our Patreon page.
Since Natsu finished coloring it just the other day, I thought I might as well share it publicly now and talk a little bit about this guy today. So yeah… Meet yet another member of the police force: the seasoned detective Nobuhiko!

So, another week has passed and we’re almost halfway to Halloween now. With that in mind, I have finally begun work on this year’s Halloween pic featuring the two characters our patrons have voted for. If you’re supporting us on Patreon, you can expect some WIP-glimpses of it showing up there soon!
(Also, patrons can now vote for what Natsu will be drawing in November. As of the moment I’m typing this, the two most popular choices are stuck at 50% each, so this might be your chance to end the stalemate!)

Right now, you can find two Patreon-only postings there containing artwork and information about two new characters from our next visual novel project GENBA no Kizuna (neither of them has been revealed publicly yet and one of them definitely won’t be this year).
Furthermore, if you’re a patron, you might also want to keep an eye out for our next art poll. It will go up some time tomorrow and run until the end of the month, giving you a chance to decide which character will be featured in the November artwork!

So, first of all, I’d like to direct your attention once again towards our Patreon page, which we have launched just recently.

I said a few more words about it in last week’s blog post, but the main reason we have decided to do this (aside from the fact that we hope to eventually increase the size of our team as well as the quality of our projects), is to hire a new composer for future titles.

Alright, today, it’s finally time to talk about that other thing I’ve been working on recently, which I’ve alluded to in the previous two updates. It’s something I’ve been thinking about for a few months now, going back and forth on the idea, but now we have decided to actually go through with it!
The title of this posting already gave it away and, if you’ve checked our Twitter over the past few days, you might have already seen it there. I am, of course, referring to the launch of our Patreon page.

So, last week, I showed you the now finished textbox design for GENBA no Kizuna. And the week before that, I provided a little glimpse at the DPA menu, which is essentially the same as Raiko’s notebook in SHINRAI.
Over this past week, I have worked some more on the menus and prepared everything for them to be integrated into the game. This meant creating a whole bunch of assets, something much more difficult and time-consuming than it might actually sound.

In last week’s blog post, I gave you a little look at the menu design for our next VN project: GENBA no Kizuna. And just as I mentioned there, I’ve been focusing on the GUI once again this past week, working hard on finishing it.
While the overall design had already been set in stone, there were still a bunch of minor details that needed some tweaking. Especially in regards to the textbox, which I sadly wasn’t able to show off last Saturday. Today, however, I can, as the design has been finalized, so… have a look!

August was a rather busy month with many things to take care of. However, now that all of those are lying behind me, I can finally devote myself to GENBA again, which is precisely what I’ve been doing over the past few days.
Since the creation of a demo is still our top priority, I have mainly focused on one of the last few bigger issues that remain, before we can actually make one: the user interface.
