Weekly Update #212: Textbox Changes

Over this past week, I’ve continued working on what I’ve talked about in last week’s blog post. Namely, making some adjustments to GENBA no Kizuna based on the feedback we have gotten so far. So let’s take a look at what exactly has changed!

Weekly Update #211: Feedback Fix-Ups

Today’s blog post is going to be another short one as I am currently on a sort of semi-vacation, so there isn’t too much in terms of progress to report. Nevertheless, I have continued working on GENBA no Kizuna, so let’s talk a bit about the current state of things!

SHINRAI Anniversary 2018

Today, exactly two years ago, we finally released our first visual novel project SHINRAI – Broken Beyond Despair after a 3-year-long development journey. It’s difficult to imagine that it’s already been that long and, at this point, I begin to wonder if I will ever truly get used to the fact that we have actually managed to pull this off. Sometimes, it still feels a bit surreal to see SHINRAI on Steam and itch.io along with all the comments, reviews and messages we have gotten. It’s an amazing feeling, however, and all the support and feedback we have gotten is most definitely something we will never take for granted!

Weekly Update #210: GENBA itch.io Store Page

So, after last week’s slightly longer blog post about How To Plan A Crime (as a writer for a fictional work, of course!), I guess that today’s blog post is going to be a bit more on the shorter side and just a quick overview of what’s currently going on!

Weekly Update #209: How To Plan A Crime

Over the course of this past week, I’ve continued working on the crime scene version of the Main Hall in GENBA no Kizuna‘s primary location: the Kaseki Residence. I’ve posted a “pre-crime” version of it some time ago, which you can check out here.

That was kind of the easy part. Creating a variant of this background after the crime has occurred, however, is quite a bit more difficult, since it requires special attention to detail. So let’s talk about that for a bit today!

Weekly Update #208: Birthday Preparations

So, today will be a shorter update, since I’ve been busy with a variety of things over this past week, quite a few of them actually not having much to do with VN development. I did, however, still get some work on GENBA no Kizuna done, so let’s talk about that first!

Weekly Update #207: Plans For August

With August just having started, I thought that for today’s blog post, we could take a look at our major tasks and goals for the month. Before we get into those, however, I’d like to talk about our goals from here on out in general, so let’s get right into it!

Weekly Update #206: Rei Sprite Progress

In last week’s blog post, I gave you a look at the progress for Shinketsu‘s sprite variations. This week, we’re going to take a look at our forensics expert Rei Shirayuki, since she is actually the next character to be introduced in the game, right after our weird doc!

Weekly Update #205: Shinketsu Sprite Progress

As you can tell from the title of today’s blog post, I have finally gotten back to some sprite work for GENBA no Kizuna. After working some more on the script and the Main Hall, I have decided to tackle the rest of the assets for the scene following the events of our demo. In it, Keiichi will come across our rather eccentric medical examiner Dr. Shinketsu Kikai. So over the past couple of days, I’ve been working on his sprites and thought I might as well share some work-in-progress glimpses with you!
