Today, we’re just gonna have a shorter general update, but if you’d like more to read, you could always check out my series of lengthy GENBA no Kizuna postmortem posts, if you haven’t already! In them, I delve into the conception and evolution of our newly released project, as well as the reasons behind its unexpectedly long development time. I’m just gonna list them here for easy access:
- How It All Started
- The Evolution Of GENBA – Part I
- The Evolution Of GENBA – Part II
- GENBA Postmortem – Part I
- GENBA Postmortem – Part II
- GENBA Postmortem – Part III
With that out of the way, though: what’s new?
Well, first of all, we’ve done some small yet important updates to the website. The biggest one being that we’ve finally updated the security certificate! That sure didn’t take us long enough! Anyway, you should now no longer get any sketchy “not secure” type warning messages if you try to access anything on gosatsu.com. One small change, but a big step towards more professionalism!
While messing around with the features on the site, I’ve also decided to add a search function widget on top of the navigation sidebar to the right, which allows you to now search our site and blog posts for whatever strikes your fancy!
Finally, we’ve added a link to our new Bluesky account at the top of the page, where you can find all the other social media buttons.
I’m planning to make some other, more substantial updates to the site, but those will take time and aren’t of the highest priority, so I’ve left things at this for now. Speaking of updates, though, we’ve also, at long last, fixed and adjusted the About and Membership sections over on our Patreon. There, I’ve also just published two new posts. One available to all paid tiers, talking about my plans for the remainder of 2024 and another post for the 5$+ tiers, featuring a look at Raiko’s base sprite in our next project.
Don’t worry, I’ll soon share some things publicly here as well, but as always, patrons get to learn them first and I’ll still have some more topics to discuss in regards to GENBA, before we’ll shift the focus to what’s next.
Anyway, that about sums it up, so please enjoy a pleasant start into November and, until next time, take care :3
