Not sure if I ever even properly shared it before, but let’s start off today’s post with the movie poster I whipped up for Warriors Of The Mesozoic, the in-universe movie that Raptor Pack Productions (our group of suspects) is working on in GENBA no Kizuna!
I recently noticed that it was still using Terano‘s placeholder family name, so I decided to update it. It’s really a “just for fun” kinda thing and fun I certainly had while working on this, haha. The whole WotM thing is heavily inspired by Turok, one of my favorite video game/comic franchises. One day, I’d love to actually write the story of this movie and maybe even turn it into a VN, but for now, work on GENBA obviously takes priority, so let’s move on to a little progress update regarding its penultimate chapter!
As I’ve mentioned a few times before, the fourth chapter is by far the longest one, consisting of multiple sets of investigation routes. It’s so long, in fact, that I’ve spread it across three Word documents, unlike the other chapters which are all contained in a single one each. As of right now, we’re getting closer to the end of the second document which, along with the first, is about 60,000 words in length… so about as long as the entire second chapter!
I’m still a bit indecisive as to how to handle the next demo release. I knew this was going to be the longest chapter from the start, but I couldn’t tell just how long it’d actually turn out to be. Part of me is wondering if we should maybe just release the first two thirds of it as a demo for beta-testing rather than the whole thing, but I guess I’ll have to see about that. It’d sure be nice to provide patrons with the next demo soon and get some feedback, because this is definitely the part I’m worried about the most!
But yeah, there’s still more work to be done before we can even provide a partial chapter 4 demo. This week, I’ve wrapped up Himatsu‘s interrogation route and only need to give it one more proofreading pass. Then there’s one more scene for Shin‘s route and the conclusion upon completing this set of investigation routes. My aim is still to get all of that done by the end of the month, which is why I think I’m gonna get right back to work now!
Before that, however, I do have one more thing to share with you… another piece of super adorable art, once again drawn by Jun:
I really love how he turned out! Be sure to check out Jun‘s Ko-fi for more cute character icons! She’s still open for commissions, too!
I’ve got one more left for her and you can probably guess who that’s gonna be, haha.
Anyway, please enjoy the rest of your weekend and, until next Saturday, take care :3
