Weekly Update #374: DPA Sprites

Before we delve into today’s progress report, here is another quick reminder that SHINRAI – Broken Beyond Despair is soon going to be available on consoles! In just about two weeks, as a matter of fact, right in time for Halloween! If you want to learn more about the port and the platforms it’s going to appear on, be sure to check out last week’s blog post, which contains all the important info!

Now, while we’re preparing for this big event, as well as Halloween in general, work on GENBA no Kizuna still continues.
I’m primarily focused on completing the remaining assets for chapters two and three, so a lot of my time this past week has been dedicated to sprite variations again. Both Keiichi and Himatsu now got a “DPA” version, for instance, where they fetch their digital police assistants to double-check or jot down info they gather during their questioning routes:

Of course, these aren’t the only sprite variations I’ve made, but they’re the only ones I can share for now, as the others are way too spoilery, unfortunately.

I will continue a bit more on sprite art during the next couple of days and then get back to evidence-related DPA images, which I won’t be sharing publicly either, but they will end up on Patreon. I’ve also commissioned some new music, so look forward to get a listen to another new composition by Solo soon! Two new tracks are required for Keiichi‘s route. With those, we should have all the music for chapter two and… these two tracks are gonna be a bit special, so I can’t wait to share them, let alone listen to them myself, haha.

Anyway, not much else to say, so I guess I’m gonna get back to work now! As always, please enjoy the rest of your weekend and, until next Saturday, have a spooky time and take care :3
