After the previous week being kinda slow due to me catching a cold, these past few days have been incredibly productive and I’m very happy with the progress I’ve made on SHINRAI Saku – Blooming Beyond Despair! And as you could already guess from the title, most of said progress has been related to its background art again:
We’ve worked a bit more on the corridor BG, which I had already previewed on Patreon last time and which you can see above. Additionally, we’ve also finished the guest room background, which I’ve just shared on Patreon as well (5$+ tiers). I actually typed up a more detailed post there, showcasing my usual BG work process through multiple WIP images and giving some behind-the-scenes info regarding some of the creative design choices involved. That’s not all, though, as I’ve also returned to the GUI, working on the game settings menu:
Another thing I finally tackled is the title screen, although that one isn’t 100% done yet. I want to add just a tad more detail to make it look a little more interesting, so I’ll refrain from sharing it for now. But yeah, despite still not having fully recovered, I was able to take some major development steps forward this week, which makes me feel very happy and excited!
Now, in other news, Angie Lumine held her third GENBA no Kizuna stream last Monday, where she and her viewers wrapped up the Preparation Phase and decided through a poll that they’ll continue with Shinketsu‘s first investigation route next time!
