Today, I’m yet again a little short on time, unfortunately, and there also isn’t too much I can say or show in regards to our current progress on SHINRAI Saku – Blooming Beyond Despair. This past week, I’ve primarily been focusing on finishing up Kamen‘s base sprite. It will still be a while until I can reveal her publicly, but I’ll publish a Patreon preview of her within the next days for the 5$+ tiers.
So, if you support us there, be sure to keep your eyes peeled!
Other than Kamen, I’ve also been once again focused on proofreading Neko no Sentouki which will release in just a few more days!
By now, the demo has already been published on Steam, so if you want to get some actual hands-on impressions of the project, you can download it right here!
Now then, since I can’t really say much else, I figured that I might give you something else to read. I’ve been planning to start publishing some full scenes from Saku‘s script on Patreon soon and thought… why not start things off with a public preview?
So, while patrons can also look forward to reading the first full scene of our new project soon, here’s a little preview of it in the form of the very first page (of a total of 81… to give you a better idea of the length of the project):
As you can see, I decided to mirror the intro scene of Broken Beyond Despair a bit. Our little Raiko sure seems to be in quite the grumpy mood again… what exactly is it she’s dreading so much? Well, that you’ll have to find out in the final game (or on Patreon)!
I might still end up marginally tweaking the wording here and there, so I guess I should give a “might not reflect the final product” kinda disclaimer, but we’re getting very close now to the moment that the first scene of the script needs to be translated into visual novel format, so… there definitely won’t be any drastic changes to it from here on out!
Anyway, that’s how Saku will start! I hope you’re looking forward to the rest of it a lot more than Raiko does!
