Now, with that out of the way, let’s get into this week’s progress report!
Last Sunday, I sent Natsu another zip package full of assets, so that she can continue with her coding duties and, ever since then, I’ve been hard at work on getting the next package ready! Right now, I’m preparing Rei‘s and Keiichi‘s next investigation routes!
Script-wise, everything is basically done and only requires a couple more proofreading passes. The main chunk of the workload this time lies with the assets, particularly the new evidence entries. I’ve written almost all of them now and also finished all the additional artwork that will be displayed in them, so I’m planning to fully wrap this up tomorrow. As always, I wish I could go into detail here, but sadly that’s not possible, since most of the new evidence is highly spoilery. I can say, however, that, after them being highlighted at the very beginning of the game and then a few more times throughout it, four chapters in, we will finally see the ambient speakers that can be found all around the Kaseki residence added to the DPA! Those of you who have played the demo and/or helped us beta-test have probably been wondering for a while now if and when that’s gonna happen w
Anyway, there is also one new interactive element that comes into play in this part of the game and I will have to discuss it with Natsu again in order to set the GUI design in stone. I don’t want to say anything about it at the moment either, but I might just share a screenshot when it’s ready to use!
