So, I’m officially off from my day job for the remainder of 2022, which naturally means switching back to full-time VNdev mode!
My main goals are going to be the Christmas artwork (or at least that one was, but my part on it is actually done now, meaning that all that’s left to do is for Natsu to properly color it) and the script for GENBA no Kizuna‘s fourth chapter.
This week, I have finished up Himatsu‘s final interrogation route (at least as far as I currently can… I will need to get back to some parts of it once I get to the beginning of the final chapter, because things have changed a little ever since I wrote the outline and so they now have to be switched around).
I have also taken care of Keiichi‘s route which was admittedly another pretty short affair. So, right now, I’m working on the laundry room investigation, which is almost done as well. All in all, the fourth chapter now sits at… approximately 80,000 words!
Even once Rei‘s route is also finished, there is actually still a bit more left to wrap up the chapter, but I hope to get that done before the end of the year. Either way, this is definitely the longest one now (keep in mind, however, that there is A LOT of investigating going on here, meaning that there are a lot of optional comments for examining things multiple times and such included in this count).
I also still aim to get a trailer for GENBA done within the next two weeks and then there are the holidays, of course, so…
We’ll see if everything is gonna work out, but I will definitely do what I can to make it so!
Now, to wrap up today’s post, I’d like to direct your attention towards this:
Our good friends and fellow VNdevs over at NoBread Studio have just released a new project they’ve been very hard at work on and, even though it’s not a murder mystery, they’ve been inspired by very much the same things as us, which you can clearly feel in their projects, so… maybe this one might be up your alley! I sadly haven’t gotten around to check it out myself yet, but if their previous VNs are anything to go by, it’s gonna be a lot of fun with a lot of heart, so you should at least check out the trailer and Steam store page (the game’s also available on itch.io if that’s your platform of choice)!
Anyway, time for me to get back to work, so, as always, please enjoy the rest of your weekend (maybe even with some catgirls) and, until next Saturday, take care :3
