Weekly Update #389: Ready To Code

Alrighty, today, I have some exciting progress to report!

Over the course of this past week, Natsu has finished coloring all the remaining sprites for Keiichi‘s investigation route, while I have gathered all the assets, readied them for in-game use and compiled a zip package to send over to her later, so that she can begin with making the whole thing actually playable!

You have no idea how good it feels to finally have reached this point! Although the coding still remains, at least my part on Keiichi‘s route is completely done now, so that I can delete it from all the things occupying my mind.

Next up, I will be giving Shinketsu‘s route the same treatment, as his is the shortest of the three remaining ones and therefore requires the least amount of work to wrap up.

Now, in other news, I have also taken care of all the GUI-related stuff that was still left on my to-do list, so I’m happy to report that the GUI variations for Shinketsu‘s, Rei‘s and Himatsu‘s routes are at long last taken care of as well! If you’re curious as to what they look like, you can check out a couple previews here and here.

Oh, and on the topic of previews, I’ve also posted one of Terano’s new sprite variations earlier today as well!

Anyway, I’m feeling pretty exhausted, but also insanely happy and satisfied that Kei-chan’s route is taken care of. Really can’t wait to check out the fully coded version myself and see all the little pieces come together to create a playable experience!

In the meantime, I’ll keep working on the other routes and I guess I’ll get right back to that and see if I can finish up a couple more things before I call it a day. As for you, I hope that you are enjoying your weekend just as much! Until next Saturday, take care :3
