So, this week, I’ve mostly dedicated to art again, specifically evidence-related artwork that will be featured in DPA entries.
I actually have a little WIP-preview to share, so you can get a better idea of what I’m talking about:
These are some of the icons that will be used, all in various stages of progress. The arm still lacks a few important details and will be properly shaded by Natsu, to keep it in line with the character coloring style of our game. Objects like that digital camera or the rope with the metal snaps are fully colored by me, however.
The rope still lacks a bit of texture and the camera a little bit of blood, but outside of that, they’re basically done.
In-game, they will mostly show up like this:
(Of course, I left the text description out, in order to avoid showing spoilers!)
Every now and then, some of these square-shaped evidence icon windows will also show up during discussion segments, when the characters talk about the respective piece of evidence. If you’ve played our GENBA demo, you should already have seen some instances of this occurring.
As of right now, I can’t say how much evidence-specific art there will be in the full game. At the moment, I’m concentrating on everything that’s needed for its first half. However, I doubt it will be much more than what was showcased in SHINRAI.
Anyway, outside of the above, I’ve also been working on a few other things and, just as promised in last week’s blog post, patrons can now get a first look at the sprite for Tsume, another new GENBA character!
Furthermore, I’ve also uploaded a new BGM track to Patreon, so if you’d like to know what GENBA‘s “Objection!”-styled theme sounds like, you can have a listen to the full version right here! As always, Solo did a phenomenal job on this one!
That kind of wraps it up for today, so please enjoy the rest of your weekend and, until next Saturday, take care :3
