So, there has been a lot of stuff going on recently, which prevented me from making as much progress as I would have liked to. Consequently, there sadly isn’t too much of interest to talk about in terms of progress.
Now that I’m able to better focus on work again, however, I’m going to get back to that main hall background and try to finish that first, as it’s not only essential for the next scene, but a very important asset for the entire game.
I’ve played around with the idea before, but I’ve decided to definitely make two versions of it now. One before the incident has occurred and one after. I hope it won’t take me too long to finish them, but there are a crap load of details involved, so who knows…
If you’re curious, I’ve posted an early look at it on Patreon last month. And speaking of which, as of yesterday, you can now also check out another set of early character sketches for two more new characters that will appear in Withering Without Hope.
Now that the weather is getting pretty summer-ish, my mood to work on something Christmas-themed is more and more fading away, but rest assured, I won’t completely shove the project aside until December again. As a matter of fact, I’m planning to finally tackle its GUI design soon. I also very recently had an idea for an artwork that could be used as a CG, as well as for promotional purposes, and I really, really want to draw it now. It will feature almost the entire cast, however, so that’s gonna be a long work-in-progress, haha…
Anyway, that’s really just about it. Only thing left to mention is that we have received some more beautiful artwork, so our gallery has been updated once again! The new additions this time are by Lara Hemille and Khana. Special thanks to Xolf who commissioned both of them!
