Weekly Update #185: Plans For March

So, here we are at the beginning of March already, which means that today’s blog post will mostly revolve around our plans for the month. Before we get to those, however, I guess we’ll take a quick look back at February.

Although we have made a lot of progress on our demo for GENBA no Kizuna, and a first Patreon-only demo has actually been released for a while now, we didn’t quite manage to release the full demo by the end of the month as we had originally planned. Natsu is currently still in the process of coding, which has been dragged out due to her having to take care of a few other things as well. However, it hopefully shouldn’t take much longer now.

So yeah, that naturally makes the demo release now our first goal for March.
There are obviously a couple more things I want to accomplish, though.

Since my work on the demo stuff is basically done, I’ve gotten back to the writing for Withering Without Hope over the last few days. The weather is starting to feel like winter again, putting me into just the right mood for it, so I obviously want to make use of that!

I’ve also continued working on the sprites for WWH. Patrons can actually look forward to seeing a preview of Kamen’s new appearance very soon! Afterwards, I’m planning to get back to some BG art, though. This month, I definitely want to start working on the Main Hall for the Kaseki Residence. I’ve already made a rough sketch and know what I want it to look like, but I can still imagine it taking quite a while to finish because… this one really requires a lot of attention to detail. It’s the crime scene after all, where Keiichi will first lay eyes upon the body!

Of course, there’s also the White Day artwork which I’ll need to tackle within the next two weeks. Something I’m very much looking forward to, actually. If you’re a patron, you can also expect the next art poll to go up very soon!

Speaking of Patreon, I’ve posted the first in a series of blog posts recently, in which I talk about how we got started with VN development. I’ll be posting the second entry later this month, talking about the very first (unreleased) VN project we ever worked on and sharing some if its assets. And for non-patrons, I’ve uploaded a short video with some BGM samples for GENBA, so you can get an idea what its atmosphere is going to be like:

The music is composed by Solo Acapello, so if you like it, check out his soundcloud to listen to even more of his amazing work!

Anyway, that’s it. Time for me to get back to work, so please enjoy the rest of your weekend and, until next Saturday, take care! :3
