After finishing the more detailed staircase background for SHINRAI Saku (which 5$+ tier patrons can now check out here), I went on to quickly whip up some super simple ones, like the one you can see above, depicting only a wall with some hanging scrolls. These are intended for a few super short dialogue exchanges during which I couldn’t really re-use any of the other BGs and for which it wouldn’t have made sense to draw something extremely elaborate, when you’re only going to see it for, like, three minutes.
I’ve provided an unobstructed view at the BG above and one other simple BG in a second Patreon post available to 1$+ tiers.
Now, in other news, the Mystery Game Jam 2026 has officially started! The submission period lasts until May 5, so you’ve still got some time to jump in if this is something that sounds exciting to you.
