As promised in last week’s blog post, I’ve now shared some of Kotoba‘s expressions for SHINRAI Saku in a post available to all paid tiers over on Patreon, so do be sure to check that out if you support us there!
Another thing I mentioned last time was that it probably won’t be too long until the next BGM reveal and indeed, Crescendo‘s already finished the latest track and sent me the files yesterday! As such, sharing it today would’ve been a tad too short-notice, but we’re excited to share it very soon!
That really only leaves the credits theme now. Although, before we’ll tackle that, finalizing the new sound effects will come first. Yesterday, I finally finished recording and editing the last ones. Now it only needs to be ensured that they all share a consistent volume level. And, of course, the ambient sounds require seamless loops. Those two aspects I always struggle with the most, but thankfully, Crescendo has agreed on helping out in that regard as well! So hopefully, I can soon slap a giant green checkmark on the SFX category on the to-do list.
Other than that, I’ve also decided on a look for the notebook entries now. Still gotta wait until Natsu can confirm that things will actually work out the way I envision them, but if they do, all the GUI design stuff would be done as well.
As you can see, we’re getting close to wrapping up various asset categories. Backgrounds are almost done as well, with only two more left (one being a super simple one). I’m actually getting really excited now, as I cannot wait to finally play the game myself.
