That’s right, this past week, I’ve finally started working on the backgrounds for SHINRAI Saku – Blooming Beyond Despair, with the first one already nearing completion! Sadly, I don’t have anything to publicly show off just yet, but if you’re supporting us on Patreon, you can expect to see a detailed post about it within the next few days, showcasing some WIP steps to illustrate its evolution.
That will be one of two backgrounds done, which are necessary to code the first few scenes of Saku, so I hope that I’ll be done with both of them before the end of the month.
Now, in other news, I’ve recently stumbled across a stream of GENBA no Kizuna. It’s the first and only one I’ve ever come across, but I couldn’t have asked for a cooler person to give it a try. Angie Lumine is a super fun streamer, bringing lots of energy, laughter and excitement to the playthrough. And she gets bonus points for being a fellow dino enthusiast and clarifying within the first few minutes that her fave movie of all time is Jurassic Park! It’s neat to see her pick up on all the references to it (as well as to other dino media).
So far, she’s played two rather lengthy sessions (seven hours in total). You can find part one here and part two here in case you’re curious to check it out yourself. I was having a blast, so I’d definitely recommend it, especially if you’ve been wondering what GENBA‘s like and always wanted to get a little glimpse of it! It’s on rotation every two weeks, so it’ll be a while until the next stream, but that’s plenty of time to catch up!
I’d recommend checking out her streams in general, though, as the other ones I peeked into also seemed like a super fun time!
