Let’s start off today’s update with another character introduction! If you’ve happened to check the page for our brand new project SHINRAI Saku – Blooming Beyond Despair this past week, you may have already noticed that another slot in the “Characters” section has been filled! This time, it’s out little scaredy-cat Nobara Akadori!
I don’t think there is actually much I need to say about her. If you’ve played Broken Beyond Despair (which you definitely should have before getting into Saku), you already know her quite well, of course!
By the way, you may have noticed that the Likes/Dislikes have changed from the previous game. That doesn’t mean that Bara-chan is suddenly no longer into sports and has only now discovered her passion for hot springs. I’m just choosing what to put on these cards based on relevancy to the project. And now you might be wondering how the heck her affinity towards 2D moe girls could be relevant to the plot of Saku and, well… that’s a good question! The answer to which you’ll receive in the game!
- Fanart & Gallery Update
Now, moving on to other news, I have once again updated the gallery on this here website. There were still some fanarts missing, which I hadn’t added yet. And coincidentally enough, shortly after updating the gallery… I had to update it yet again, as we’ve received another new fanart just this morning! This time of our quiet, hemophobic crime scene technician Rei:
Isn’t she beautiful?? Reirei‘s one of my favorites, so seeing new fanart of her always makes me particularly happy! The piece was once again drawn by resident fanart provider Ryuu-chan who’s got a really big section in our gallery by now, so be sure to check that out!

- Neko No Sentouki
Finally, before we come to a close, I’d like to once again take a moment to promote another VN project. Namely, Neko No Sentouki by SKredjun who should also be familiar to you at this point, given all the artwork I’ve commissioned from her (be sure to check out her section in the gallery, too!). You may also remember that I brought up her VN a couple of times before, as I’ve really enjoyed the demo.
Well, the full release is now close at hand, scheduled for later this month! In fact, you can already wishlist Neko on Steam!
Full Disclaimer: I’ve enjoyed the project so much that I’ve somewhat gotten involved in it myself, currently proofreading the English translation. It’s got some really great characters and writing. I don’t know the conclusion to the tale yet, but from everything I’ve seen so far, I really love it and would definitely recommend you go check out the store page and see for yourselves if it might be up your alley!
There’s undoubtedly a lot of heart and passion in this, which you can clearly tell from the writing, so it does deserve your attention!
