Today, we’re just gonna have a quick update. If you haven’t checked them out yet, there’s a lot more to read in our last two blog posts, though, as they deal with our accomplishments in 2024 and our plans for 2025! I’d also like to take the opportunity to once again direct your attention to the new sub page in the “SHINRAI” section of our website, where you can now find some first info on our next visual novel project SHINRAI Saku – Blooming Beyond Despair! There’s also some additional info on it in the respective announcement post!
As mentioned last time, I’m currently focusing on the Saku script, so I guess it will be a while until I’ll have some fancy visual stuff to show.
I do have a quick little teaser for you, however!
Here’s another look at one of the newcomers to the SHINRAI cast: Ritsu Asatsui! I’m currently also working on some character assets and wanted to provide a little comparison between the initial pencil sketch and the current WIP-state of his sprite (with a different expression).
And yes, that’s right “his” sprite! If you’ve seen any of the previous sketch posts on Bluesky or Patreon, you may recall that he was named “Ritsuko” back then. Well, I’ve decided to slash the “ko” and make him a male! There are a couple different reasons for it, some plot-related, some related to other things (such as the fact that I’ve already got so many waifus and way too few husbandos in SHINRAI, *cough*). But we’ll talk about that in detail some other time, probably when I can make a proper character introduction post!
For now, just know that it’s no typo! Ritsu is the final name and being a pretty boy is his game!
