New month, new plans and new goals! I’m currently still in the process of getting things back in order, so everything is progressing slowly, but it’s progressing nonetheless and, day by day, I’m picking up the pace a little. As a matter o fact, I haven’t felt this much determination to get things done in a long while, undoubtedly bolstered by the amount of progress we have made recently!
Natsu is diligently coding the investigation, which I can’t wait to see in its actual, playable state. For the first time ever, she was also able to actually read the investigation content herself and her feedback made me feel extremely relieved, happy and confident. If she thinks it’s funny and entertaining, I think I’m on the right track, haha.
Now, in the meantime, I’m preparing the next part of the game for her, which I’m planning to send over tomorrow evening. That would finally take care of my part regarding scene 11, meaning I can finally move on to scenes 12 and 13 on Monday, both of which are only in need of revision/proofreading and require a handful more assets.
I’ve actually already started working on those on the side, so I can share stuff with you! Here’s a new sprite variation for Rei:

I’ve also finished the Rougetsu police badge, which will be used later on in scene 14 for a little bit of story time with Nobuhiko:
What’s left now? Just a couple more pieces of evidence for DPA entries and, of course, the dead body CG, which is still missing some details. If I keep up the current pace, all of this should be easily doable over the next couple of weeks. Ideally, I’ll finally be able to fully throw myself into chapter 2 later this month.
But yeah, for now, the priority is to finish scene 11 and then upload it for patrons to beta test and, by the end of the month, do the same with the rest of the first chapter. Also gotta work on a few other things, however, since SHINRAI‘s 5th anniversary is coming closer and, of course, I’d like to have a special announcement by then.
