Weekly Update #380: Script Progress & New BGM

Script work has continued and, by now, Rei‘s route is basically done! Although it still requires some revisions and proofreading, it is fully written now and amounts to ~12,000 words, making it quite a bit longer than I originally anticipated. I was sure it would turn out much shorter than Keiichi‘s route, but they’re very close in length now!

Granted, with her route basically being all background investigation, playtime will heavily depend on how thorough players are going to be, but I still like the fact that the word count ended up being so close.

If you’re curious, I’ve posted a little sneak peek of it on Twitter earlier this week!

Next up is Shinketsu‘s route, which I’m quite a bit more worried about being too short. As the medical examiner, he mostly focuses on the body, so there aren’t multiple backgrounds with dozens of objects for him to examine, but there is also no point in artificially forcing things in there, just to inflate the word count. By next Saturday, I want his route to be done as well, which should be perfectly doable, given the circumstances. Then we will see how long it will be…

Now, I’ve also been working on some other things, which I can’t quite show yet, but patrons will get a first look at this year’s Christmas artwork very soon. In order to avoid the usual December stress, I decided to get an early start on it this time.

On the topic of Patreon, I have also published a new BGM track for GENBA today! This one is based on the interrogation theme in SHINRAI, and I’m really happy with Solo‘s rendition of it! If you want to have a listen, you can find it here.

It’s been a pretty busy week and I still have lots of stuff to do, so I guess I’ll call it quits here today.
As always, please enjoy the rest of your weekend and, until next Saturday, take care :3
